Alumni Awards
Alumni and friends of Trevecca continue to make significant contributions across the world through their leadership and service. With the annual alumni awards, we are able to recognize those who have made an impact through their exemplary work, service and character in their respective communities.
We welcome nominations for these awards on a rolling basis. Each spring the alumni board votes for those who will be recognized at Homecoming.
You’ll find descriptions for the different categories below as well as past award recipients.
Your nominations are important as we consider the many sons and daughters who are the pride of Trevecca. Deadlines for nominations are March 1 each year for the following Homecoming.
| Award | Qualifications |
| "T" Award | Presented to alumni who have devoted their lives to service through the local church or community, modeling a “towel and basin” lifestyle to those around them. (Two T-Awards will be awarded. Please note if the person you are nominating is an ordained minister.) |
| Mackey Leadership Award | Presented to alumni who have made an impact through servant leadership and have demonstrated excellence in their profession. These nominees model lifting others up and creating space for others to succeed. This award is named for former Trevecca president A.B. Mackey who believed every activity was sacred because it related to God’s work and God’s world. He modeled excellence in leadership through scholarship and humble service. |
| McClurkan Award | Presented to non-alumni who have made a significant impact on Trevecca and modeled the values of authenticity, service and leadership. This award is named for our founder and first President, J.O. McClurkan, who gave all that he had to help the outcast, the poor, and those most in need and to educate the church for the great endeavor of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. |
| First Chapter (Young Alumni) Award | Presented to alumni under the age of 35 who have been notable in their professional career while continuing to exemplify servant leadership. |
