Replete with beanstalks, giants, glass slippers, distressed damsels, and forlorn princes, our most famous childhood stories become ingeniously entangled in Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s epic, fan-favorite musical. But, life after the “happily ever after” takes on new meaning in these “fractured fairy tales” when we discover what it takes to conquer the most challenging giants of all—those within ourselves. -

Join us for a day of ministerial development as we explore how holiness offers hope in a secular age. Dr. Andrew Root, a professor at Luther Seminary and a recognized expert on faith formation and secularity, will be our guest. He is the author of many books, including Faith Formation in a Secular Age, The Pastor in a Secular Age and The Congregation in a Secular Age. We'll explore how secularity is affecting churches and how holiness enables us to engage with hope and vision in a secular age. Registration includes multiple sessions throughout the day and lunch. Lifelong learning credit is available. -
